According to longtime college football radio host Greg Swaim, the Big 12 will want Louisville, NC State, VA Tech, and either Pitt or GA Tech once the ACC collapses -- with that scenario taking place after the SEC takes FSU and Clemson and the Big Ten takes UNC and UVA.

"Sources tonight tell us that Clemson and FSU to the SEC, with AAU accredited schools UNC and UVA to the Big Ten," Swaim prefaced before saying, "After this the ACC becomes untenable, as the media revenue after losing those schools will be similar to the Pac-12 after losing USC and UCLA.

"Of course at that point the remaining schools that have a Big 12 offer for twice what the ACC pays will likely take it. The four schools that the B12 would want are Louisville, NC State, and either Pitt or GA Tech. The rest? I guess ask Wazzu and the Beavs, but we've seen this movie before...as a matter of fact just a year ago!"

ESPN can opt out of ACC TV deal once SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12 poach schools

Swaim also predicted this past weekend that ESPN can opt out of the ACC's television deal once the SEC, Big Ten, and Big 12 poach their top schools.

"Others reporting various legal suits being filed by both current ACC members and the conference itself, but in a nutshell here is what's going on...and what's going to happen," Swaim prefaced before saying, "FSU and Clemson want out for more money, and UNC and soon UVA will jump to a higher paying conference, either the Big Ten or SEC.

"The rest will then try to leave, as at that point ESPN will cancel the contract and those schools remaining that get a Big 12 offer will take it, as the ACC will basically be dead in the water as a P4 at that time. It's just that simple...at least until the Super Conference plan kicks in around 2031."

While the ACC reportedly has a contingency plan that includes Memphis, Tulane, Wazzu, Oregon State, UConn, and USF, its Power Conference status would be in doubt should its top teams find a way out of what looks like a dying entity.
