Last weekend, high-priority recruits from all over the country descended on the Plains for Auburn football's Big Cat Weekend recruiting event. While it was a long trip for some, Bobby Coleman made the trip from Phenix City, less than an hour down the road from Auburn's campus.

Over the past few years, Coleman has become extremely familiar with the Auburn football program due to their recruitment of his older brother, 5-star wide receiver Cam Coleman. The older Coleman was the undoubted headliner of the Tigers' impressive recruiting class of 2024, and is expected to do big things on the field this fall.

However, this weekend's visit for Big Cat was all about Bobby, and he has enjoyed the experience of stepping into the spotlight as the Tigers turn their recruiting focus to the younger Coleman.

“It’s a totally different feel,” said the younger Coleman of attending Saturday’s Big Cat, per Auburn Rivals. “I’ve always come being the sidekick with Cam. Now, I’m the main guy. It feels good.”

Coleman is a top quarterback in the recruiting class of 2027, and has already picked up offers from Alabama State, Troy, Georgia State, Texas A&M, and Georgia in addition to Auburn football. Auburn Rivals reports that the QB is also receiving interest from Florida, South Carolina, UCF, and Florida State, and he hopes to visit many of these schools in the fall between returning to the Plains to catch his older brother in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Though the younger Coleman has plenty of time before making a final decision, the Auburn football coaching staff has formed a strong foundation with the 2027 QB and can expect to be the team to beat for his commitment.
