Quotes of note from USC commit, Auburn football flip target Isaiah Gibson
Quotes from Isaiah Gibson, USC commit and Auburn football flip target, about his recruitment experience with the Tigers
The Auburn football coaching staff is aggressively recruiting the class of 2025, and that means identifying and going after multiple recruits who have already committed to other schools. The Tigers are working to flip several Alabama commits, but also have their eyes on a few USC commits, including 5-star quarterback Julian "Juju" Lewis, 4-star running back Duane Morris, and 5-star edge rusher Isaiah Gibson.
This week, Gibson returned to the Plains for an official visit, his fourth trip to Auburn. Gibson is ranked as the #17 recruit and the #1 edge rusher in the class of 2025 and is the #8 prospect out of Georgia. He has trips planned to Ohio State, Tennessee, and Oklahoma and has already visited South Carolina and Georgia.
Though it seems Georgia may be the leader in this recruiting battle if Gibson decides to flip, he likes what he has seen from the Auburn football program, and below are some of the edge rusher's quotes of note.
On his official visit to the Plains, per Auburn Rivals:
“It went great. I loved everything about Auburn,” he said. “The culture, the environment and the food also. The food is very good here. Just like the environment, the feeling, the coaches. It’s an all-around good feeling whenever you’re in Auburn.”
On head coach Hugh Freeze, per Auburn Undercover:
"I feel like Coach Freeze is an amazing coach," Gibson said. "I love the way he coaches and lets his players be themselves and just lets them do what they have to do. He would never treat a player wrong from what I can see. Coach Aldridge, me and him are real tight. We talk almost every day. We have a good relationship, he comes to the school a lot. We've always had that relationship, I knew of Coach Aldridge when he coached inside linebackers. Just that long ago when he was at Liberty. We have a real strong relationship."
On the potential to flip, per Auburn Live:
“I would say Auburn is in the top (group) of schools,” he said. “I’m not flipping no time soon, but if I were to flip, Auburn would be a top school.”
