Auburn helped make Week 7 of college football a historic Saturday of upsets with an unfathomable 27-24 win over Georgia at Sanford Stadium.

The Tigers raised their stock in the conference in a major way. They weren't alone.

Of course, several SEC squads also tanked their value. Two previous No. 1 overall squads went down. Chaos ruled the day.

Here's what the SEC looks like now after the smoke has cleared:

No. 1 Georgia

Losing to Auburn doesn't mean these Dawgs aren't still the team to beat in the conference. UGA was rocked by injuries leading into this one, and even had quarterback Gunner Stockton hobbled on the very first play of the game. The Bulldogs will be back, but the loss shows how vulnerable Georgia is until its health improves.

No. 2: Ole Miss

After a dominant outing against Missouri, Ole Miss is back in good graces. The Rebels have given up 20 points in their last two games and scored 83 points.

No. 3: Kentucky

After squashing Oklahoma's rise on Saturday in the conference, following OU's upset of Texas in the Red River Rivalry, Kentucky is all of a sudden an SEC contender. The Wildcats have a few tests down the stretch, but it's not inappropriate to talk CFP. UK is a football school now.

No. 4: Tennessee

Rocky Top was jumping during a dominant 26-10 Third Saturday in October win for Tennessee over Alabama in Knoxville. The Volunteers have only lost to the Longhorns this season and are right up there with the aforementioned squads in the CFP hunt.

No. 5: Alabama

The Crimson Tide are still one of the most talented teams in the conference, but Kalen DeBoer is losing steam here in year three after the 16-point drubbing. Keelon Russell had a major dud in his first big road rivalry game.

No. 6: Florida

Knocking off Ole Miss and Texas gives Florida two of the best wins in the conference. The Gators are still operating with ugly losses to South Carolina (at home) and Mizzou, but Jon Sumrall has this squad back on track after marching into Austin and claiming a dub.

No. 7: Auburn

Beating the Dawgs has the Tigers sniffing the top half of the conference. Knocking off the Bayou Bengals at home next week could signal this team is a CFP contender. There's tangible hope in the Loveliest Village on the Plains for the first time in a long time, after ending a nine-year drought against UGA.

No. 8: LSU

A 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State has LSU back in the top half of the conference. Lane Kiffin could take an all-time ugly third loss of the year next weekend at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

No. 9: Texas

It's getting ugly on the Forty Acres after a second straight loss for UT. Arch Manning isn't proving to be the generational quarterback most were expecting, and Steve Sarkisian has many calling for his head coaching job to be vacated. The ends aren't justifying the costs in Central Texas.

No. 10: South Carolina

The Gamecocks had a bye in Week 7 and remain static from last week's ranking.

No. 11: Missouri

Putting up just three points at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium is not a great look for Eliah Drinkwitz's squad. Mizzou suddenly has its back against the wall heading into the bye week after being rocked by the Rebels.

No. 12: Mississippi State

The Bulldogs got blanked in Death Valley this afternoon but get a rebound opportunity with the Sooners in Starkville next Saturday afternoon.

No. 13: Arkansas

Maybe things aren't so dire in Fayetteville. Ryan Silverfield's Razorbacks picked up a 31-21 win over Vanderbilt in Nashville. Arkansas may not be one of the SEC's worst teams this season after all.

No. 14: Texas A&M

Texas A&M shut out the Citadel 41-0 at Kyle Field. It was the expected result. The Aggies face Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium next weekend with the chance to put DeBoer on the hot seat.

No. 15: Oklahoma

Brent Venables may not have saved his job with the Texas win last weekend. Oklahoma doesn't have a truly guaranteed win the rest of the way in its schedule.

No. 16: Vanderbilt

You hate having to ask it, but is Clark Lea simply a Diego Pavia merchant? The Commodores are back in the basement, with Jared Curtis failing to wrangle the Razorbacks.
