In today's edition of Auburn Tigers News, Auburn football lands a top wide receiver from the transfer portal and a 5-star wide receiver sets an official visit

The Auburn football program got another big win in the spring transfer portal window this week. Wednesday evening, former Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith officially committed to the Tigers.

Lambert-Smith will arrive on the Plains with one year of eligibility left after spending four seasons with the Nittany Lions. He chose the Tigers over Texas A&M, USC, Colorado, Florida State, and other programs. When asked why he chose Auburn football, it was an easy answer for the WR.

"The staff," Lambert-Smith said, per Auburn Undercover. "The guys in the room. I heard a lot about Cam Coleman and just helping him reach his potential, I'm a vet, I'm a seasoned guy, I know how to — I feel like I move like a pro. Just coming in and showing the young guys. Like I said, I like challenges. I don't mind taking that on."

Lambert-Smith joins fellow transfers Sam Jackson V and Robert Lewis in the Tigers' newly reloaded wide receiver room.

5-star wide receiver sets an official visit

The wide receiver recruiting continues with the confirmation of an official visit for a 5-star WR in the recruiting class of 2025. According to On3 Sports, Caleb Cunningham has set four official visits for the summer and one will be with Auburn football.

From Ackerman, MS, Cunningham is ranked as the #1 recruit out of his state and the #2 wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2025. He has already taken two unofficial visits to the Plains in 2024 and will arrive for his official on May 31. He will also visit Florida on June 7, Tennessee on June 14, and Alabama on June 21.
